Carrie Ithil had always thought of herself as a brave and composed woman but that night she felt different.
Will she be home soon, mommy? one of the twins asked. She knew it was Gabriel.
Yeah, will she be here soon? Raphael echoed.
She patted the childrens head and sighed. Shed better be, my darlings.
The three of them sat on the front porch facing the darkness. All the houses lights were on as if itd guide her daughter home but said daughter was taking far too long. Luana had called a number of them times from the library to inform the assignments progress and her last cal
It was a little past midnight and the library was still open. Just for them, too, it seemed. Luana found it strange, she could swear it always closed at five but didnt complain. They had managed to get the huge assignment done, and she had just called her parents to tell them she was going home. Everyone said goodbye and left. They all looked tired but satisfied.
Luana gathered her pens and textbooks and papers when Alexander walked up to her. She was startled and dropped everything. He helped her pick up her things from the ground even though she insisted he didnt have to.

Luana walked so fast she was almost running. Within a few minutes she could already see her grey and stern-looking school.

The air was filled with hundreds of young voices that were loud enough for her to know that she wasnt that late; the school bell was yet to ring and that cheered her up. The small girl rushed through corridors and past people towards her grey locker. She tossed her bag inside and took her math textbook and homework.
The bell rang and she was grateful. The math teacher was never late so she wouldnt have to worry about p
Wake up! Wake up!
Mommy made waffles!
She stirred in her bed not fully awake but unable to go back to sleep thanks to the two little creatures that hopped around her room. She groaned and the creatures laughed. Dirty little goblins, they were!
Youll be late for school again, sis!
Yeah, yeah! Late again! And well eat your waffles too!
She tossed a pillow at them. Raphael and Gabriel let me sleep!
The children dodged the pillow and ran out of her room. They roared with laughter. The sound of their steps made her picture a hundred running elephants inside her hea
It was a white and cold day. Johnny breathed against the window and drew suns and trees and flowers with his index finger. Mr. Collinss daughter was babysitting him because his grandmother said shed be right back.
Where is granny? Johnny asked the girl. She said she didnt know without looking away from the TV.
Johnny frowned, his narrow eyes narrowed before he went back to drawing on the foggy glass. Hed draw a car now! A car with his parents and his granny and himself in it. No Collins girl.
His fingertips were cold.
The babysitter told him to leave the window alone because it was cold and hed catch

The Future has always intrigued me, and therefore so have divination techniques.
The Tarot is my favorite above all. While I don't really know much about it I am fascinated about the cards and their meanings.
I decided to take a 100 Themes Writing Challenge, and am basing every single piece of writing on the card of the Major Arcana.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, make yourselves comfortable.
The Fool will step forward.

It was a very hot day. The midday sun was bothering him so he finally decided to stop somewhere for a drink and some food. The others had wandered away from him because they wanted to take a look at some places that were said to be nice.
He found a small restaurant and decided to go in. Itd be too troublesome to look for another one.
He sat down facing the back wall, and waited for the appetizers as he took a sip of a sweet and cold drink.
Man, was that day annoyingly hot! He brushed off the little sand that had settled on his clothes and looked around. There was no one in the restaurant except for him and the people who worked there

The sound of laughter came from the downstairs pub. All of the inns guests seemed to be there, partying. All except for two.
After that elf attacked them in the afternoon, it was decided it would be best to have someone on guard. Lidia had told them shed have a walk before her shift, so she was probably stealing someones wallet out there. Chaos and Iris said it was too early to bed, and went downstairs for information, drinks and some fun.
So Loki was left alone with her. Not that hed be a great company, though, he hardly spoke to anyone. There he was, sitting by the window and scrutinizing the outside world with his
